CECILIA CARREÑO. The Clay Route.
Under the Barro Marchiguano brand, Cecilia and Marcelo Rengifo knead the earth they extract from Estero Cadena and shape various clay objects. His bond with the clay began 12 years ago, looking for a new path for the future. This is how this couple entered the pottery trade, an arduous but very rewarding job. In his workshop in Marchigüe you can appreciate his peasant art, expressed in magical, unique pieces, the fruit of the goodness of the land, of nature and of the skillful hands and ingenuity of these farmers. In addition, you can learn about the production process: knowing how the clay, in a sublime act, is modeled until the creation of a form, so that the flames of the oven are in charge of completely embracing the piece and finish composing the work.
