MARGARITA VERGARA. The Clay Route.
It has been more than two decades since Margarita began in the art of pottery. He did it by working with contemporary ceramics, using an electric oven that allowed him to glaze his purchased "biscuit" pieces. He stayed on this path for more than a decade, producing and teaching his trade. But life was in charge of directing her towards ancestral pottery, opening a new universe of knowledge related to the various types of clay, burning and methods. He thus understood that behind each ancestral piece there was a meaning linked to the way of conceiving the world of the pre-Columbian peoples. Today, Margarita is dedicated to teaching the different construction techniques of ancestral and contemporary pottery, always keeping in mind the respect and connection from the earth to the universe, where our original ancestors are found.
